PAM Update: Added active links for WEB Portal URLs on the record list, extended request approver auditing permissions, added support for Slovenian keyboard

This update added active links for WEB Portal URLs on the record list, extended request approver auditing permissions, and added support for the Slovenian keyboard.

Added active links for WEB Portal URLs on the record list

The update added support for active links displayed in the records list view for WEB Portal URLs. The option allows quick navigation through WEB Portals on record.

Extended request approver auditing permissions

The update extended permissions of the request approver to analyze approved recorded sessions. Specifically, request approvers of the session access without Viewer permissions for the record can navigate the session recording from the My Sessions / Session Events report can export as well as to subscribe to My Sessions, Request Sessions and Session Events reports in CSV, PDF or Excel formats.

The option allows finer role separation between administrators, external contractors or vendors performing work on the end-point devices and supervisors or asset owners granting access to the managed assets, monitoring and analyzing privileged activity.

Added support for Slovenian keyboard

The update added a Slovenian keyboard layout for WEB RDP sessions. Note that the option requires a WEB Session Manager update for the existing deployments. The update also adds an on-screen Slovenian keyboard for WEB Sessions.

Added the option to configure audio settings for WEB RDP Sessions

The update added the option to configure audio settings for WEB RDP Sessions. Default system deployment disables audio for WEB RDP Sessions unless enabled globally using system parameter xtam.session.web.audio=true.

Record level parameter Audio allows record owners to enable or to disable audio in WEB RDP Sessions for individual records or all records in the record type.

To control audio settings on a record level, add the Choice field GlyphCaching (Display name Glyph Caching) to the Record Type with the values Enabled, Disabled.

Select the appropriate value on the record editing screen.

Added the option to configure glyph caching settings for WEB RDP Sessions

The update added the option to configure glyph caching settings for WEB RDP Sessions. In addition to screen regions, RDP maintains caches of frequently used symbols or fonts, collectively known as “glyphs.”

Certain known bugs in RDP implementations can cause performance issues with this enabled (old versions such as Windows Server 2008 is a usual example).

Setting this parameter to Disabled will disable that glyph caching in the WEB RDP session for this record.

To control audio settings on a record level, add the Choice field Audio to the Record Type with the values Enabled, Disabled.

Select the appropriate value on the record editing screen.
